Dr. Kayula Siame is a seasoned expert in Private Sector Development, Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Investment, with extensive experience in higher education, technical vocational training, and science and technology. She has held prominent roles, including Permanent Secretary, National Coordinator, and Programme Team Leader, and has been recognized for achievements such as positioning Zambia among the top ten global reformers, serving as Zambia’s Chief Negotiator for the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement, and winning the World Bank Smart Lessons in Trade Facilitation first prize. Dr. Siame has a strong background in public sector policy development, strategy implementation, and programme assessment, combined with expertise in research, advocacy, and consultancy. A dynamic leader and skilled resource manager, she is passionate about driving economic growth through entrepreneurship development. She has extensive corporate governance experience, having served on numerous public and private sector boards, including as Chairperson of the Lusaka Securities Exchange and Vice Chairperson of the University of Kabwe. She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Lusaka, an MBA in Decision Science and Finance from Clark Atlanta University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Zambia. Currently, Dr. Siame is a Private Sector Development and Investment Consultant, collaborating with private sector entities, development partners, and civil society to promote economic growth.
